Sorry friends , but I have been enjoying some quality family time over the holidays and let the blogging go to the wayside.
I had a wonderful Christmas with my family and still managed to hit up the gym almost daily. My mileage has definitely dropped as I can only last 30 minutes on the treadmill before I want to hurt someone!
I have been doing 30 minutes on the bike to compensate ! The gym has been great for attendance , super quiet over the holidays but I am prepared for the New Year rush ! I will continue my workouts in amongst the newbies!
I’m considering doing this program in the New Year
No I am not looking to become a figure competitor , I’m far too scarred for that!
I like the idea of a very regimented meal plan and exercise plan. I know I will get bored of the food real quick , so I will need to keep it fresh weekly and sub in new foods.
Today I went for my first outdoor run in like forever and it was Brutal
I wore my Wave Ascend trail shoes for the first time and loved them, But the sidewalks were ridiculous ! They had at least 2 feet of ice on top of snow and it was deadly . I rolled my ankles so many times and my splits – WOW
These are NOT typical , obviously!
As you can see it was a slow run/walk/stumble!
But , it was one hell of a workout ! My quads, glutes and hamstrings are burning now. I guess you use a whole new set of muscles when you are dodging ice and divets in the snow.
So , I will get back to some recipe destroying in the near future as well. My poor blog is boring , sorry!
