It’s a soup , No it’s a Stew!

It’s a Stoup aka Rachel Ray’s term for the hearty beefy soup I like to make !

It was a cold dreary rainy day in Ontario today so I pulled out the handy dandy crockpot and made this pot of yumminess!

Spicy Turkey Lentil Stoup

1.5 lbs extra lean ground turkey
1 can diced Tomatoes
1 large onion , diced
2 carrots , sliced
3 ribs of celery sliced
1/2 pkg of sliced mushrooms
1.5 cups brown lentils
1 carton low sodium vegetable broth
1 tbsp cumin, chili powder, onion powder and garlic powder

Dump everything into the crock and cover with broth

Let cook on low for 8 hours

It will thicken up during the day

Spoon into big bowls , top with shredded cheese

Dip a large piece of fresh buttered bread into this and you are set!
