Pumpkin Oatmeal

I love pumpkin, all things pumpkin and this hits the spot on a cold autumn morning! This past week I have been trying to get creative with my massive stash of canned pumpkin, pantry hoarding problem but that is a later post! I love oatmeal, steel cut oatmeal,quick oats,instant oats pretty much any oat. I grew up on oatmeal and have never strayed away. It really does warm your tummy and keep you full until lunch. So how does Inkdgirl ink up her oatmeal? Like this!

PUMPKIN OATMEAL
serves 1
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup oats
pinch salt
1 heaping tbsp canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
pinch of cinnamon,nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice
1 -2 tsp splenda brown sugar
crushed walnuts to taste

Boil water and salt, add oats, return to boil then reduce heat to low and let cook for approx 10 min. Add spices and brown sugar. Let sit for 1 minute.

Top with walnuts and enjoy!
